Height/Physical Description: 3 feet in height and 4 feet in width. Gray leaves with yellow flowers in Spring.
Use: Medicinal. It is reported that the Cahuillan people used the gum, flowers, leaves and stems of this plant as a medicine.
Harvesting: Flowers, leaves and stems in Spring.
Preparation: The gum was heated and applied to the chest to relieve pain. It is also reported that the blossoms, leaves and stems were boiled to make an analgesic to relieve toothache.
