Festival Highlights

Get a close-up view of how our sheep are shorn and how we process our wool. Guests can learn about natural dyes, how to wash wool, and visit our farm to feed our organic sheep.

How much are tickets?

Admission to the Sheep Shearing Festival is FREE with paid parking.

Online Parking Fee:
$16 (vehicle with 1-8 passengers)
$25 (vehicle with 9-15 passengers)

*Parking on the day of the event is $4 higher at the door. We recommend that you purchase your tickets online.

If you choose to park on the street you will be charged admission.

If you pay for parking on-site, you DO NOT need to pay for admission. The better deal is to park on-site.

refund policy
What is your refund policy?

There are no refunds given for any tickets, workshops, classes or parking paid on-line. In the event of inclement weather and the festival is canceled you will be issued credit towards any future festival on our property. Credits expire one year from issue date.

Can I bring a tour group or a school group?

You are welcome to bring groups. No admission is charged if you park on-site.

hotel
Do you rent your hotel rooms overnight?

At this time we are not offering any of our hotel rooms to the public. We have no immediate plans to open the hotel portion of the ranch.

About the Sheep Shearer

Graciano Hernandez founded Legacy Shearing by following his family trade and learning how to shear sheep as a child that was a trade passed on from his father Johnnie Hernandez. Graciano is the fourth generation shearer in his family and intends to keep the family legacy, by teaching his children his families tradition, while presenting hard work and dedication.

Watch as Graciano shears sheep from their warm winter woolies. Demonstrations from 10 am to 2 pm. Feel free to ask questions and listen to his commentary as he shears the sheep. Please note: although the process might look rough at certain instances, the sheep are not hurt in the shearing process.
TRACTOR TOUR

Take a ride aboard an antique tractor-pulled wagon to the 1000-year old oak tree and back. The ride lasts about 15 minutes. Free for members*. Adult/Seniors $5. Children under 12 years old $3, toddlers 2 and under are free. Pay for tickets at the wagon rides (no reservations).
*VIP members can bring a guest on the ride for free. Blue members can ride for free (no additional free guests). Family members (2 members, 4 children) can ride for free. To upgrade to a membership please visit the Information Booth located at section H.

Watch a demonstration on how sheep dog herding works. See how the dog reacts to certain sound cues to perform herding duties. Free. Herding demonstration locations vary on each weekend.
March 25-26. Sheep herding will take place in the sheep shearing pen (section G on the map below).
April 1-2. Sheep herding will take place on the farm near the 1000-year-old oak tree (section N on the map below). Please be prepared to walk on uneven ground for 10-15 minutes to get to this location.
SHEEP FEEDING
11:30 am, 1 pm and 2:30 pm

Meet our sheep and feed them leaves from olive branches. Learn how we care for our sheep organically. Make sure to sign up in person at the Information Desk located in the main lobby (section H on the map below) for a time slot. Reservations are free but limited in availability.

Pet all sorts of baby farm animals in our petting zoo. The petting zoo is free but guests are asked to be gentle to the animals and asked not to hold them. Located next to the sheep shearing pen.

Get your game board from the Information Desk located in the main lobby (section H on the map below) and solve the puzzle with clues hidden around the property. Free to play. Candy prize available.

The original indigo tie-dye technique dates back around 1,500 years. Originally dyed by hand using natural dyes made from fermented indigo plants, dye your own tote bag to take home.

Watch the sheep shearer free the sheep from their warm winter woolies. Sheep shearing demonstration from 10 am - 2 pm. Enjoy the free petting zoo next to the sheep shearing pen.

H. EATERY, TIPSY SHEEP BAR, SOURDOUGH BREAD HALL & INFORMATION DESK
Order lamb-themed dishes from the Eatery and sourdough pizza. Enjoy sheep themed cocktails and our signature lavender cocktails at the Tipsy Sheep Bear, get a loaf of organic sourdough bread made with ancient grains from the Bread Hall. Sign up for sheep feeding or pick up your membership at the Information Desk.

A parade of eight shops, each themed around a product from our farm, and a cafe featuring sheep-themed desserts. Retail products can be purchased by bringing a completed order form to the Fulfillment Center.

J. CRAFTS & BOUNCY HOUSE
From needle felting to kids crafts try different types of wool-related crafts. Free wool weaving and other types of demonstrations are available. A bouncy house for young kids is available. $5 for unlimited rides at the bounce house. Age and weight restrictions may apply.

Shop Online!

The products at 123 Farm are made primarily using organic ingredients from our farm. We hand harvest and distill our own lavender essential oil in the summer, and press oil from our century-old olive groves in the fall. We practice bee guardianship and sustainably harvest honey and beeswax from our own hives. Our products are made in small batches.
